Ticks are full of disease. They also carry toxoplasma

While it is generally known that ticks carry tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme disease, these are far from the only diseases that ticks can cause in humans. In Brno and its surroundings, scientists have identified six different pathogens in ticks, including anaplasma, babesia and toxoplasma. One tick can contain several pathogens, and thus cause several infections at once.
